Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes (I used baked potatoes)
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    2 egg yolks
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 c. milk
    2 egg whites
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 (9-inch) pie shell (unbaked)
Preparation
    Mix first 8 ingredients together while potatoes are warm.
    Add milk.
    Beat egg whites until stiff, adding gradually 1/4 cup sugar.
    Fold into mixture and pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Lower temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake until set.
    Serves 6 to 8.
