Never Fail Fluffy Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted regular flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Sift together into a bowl:
flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and cream of tartar.
Add shortening.
Cut in with pastry blender until the mixture looks like coarse cornmeal.
Add milk all at once.
Stir just enough to make a soft dough.
Turn out onto a lightly floured board.
Knead lightly for 30 seconds.
Roll out to a thickness of 1/2-inch.
Cut with a floured 2-inch round cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes about 16 biscuits.
