Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head lettuce, chopped
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 pkg. frozen green peas or 1 can green peas
    2 c. mayonnaise with 2 Tbsp. sugar added
    1/4 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Preparation
    Place in layers in large flat dish in order given.
    Place bacon on top.
    Cover and store in refrigerator overnight.
    Spoon out servings.
    Do not toss.
    Will keep in refrigerator 2 or 3 days.
    Serves 8 to 10.
