Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    2 c. sugar
    1 pinch of salt
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates
    1 egg
    2 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add sugar and dates; stir well, then add egg. Cook mixture for about 4 minutes until ingredients stick together. Remove from heat and add cereal and nuts.
    Cool; shape in walnut size balls.
    Roll in coconut.
    These can be frozen.
