Refrigerator Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. head cabbage
    1 tsp. salt
    1 carrot
    1 green pepper
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Shred cabbage; add salt and let set at room temperature for 1 hour.
    Squeeze out liquid.
    Add shredded carrot and green pepper. Combine vinegar, sugar, water and spices.
    Boil 2 minutes.
    Cool and pour over cabbage.
    Will keep up to 3 weeks in fridge.
