Grandma Elliott'S Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    72 ripe tomatoes, peeled and crushed
    12 large onions, grated fine
    3 hot peppers, grated fine
    3 pt. vinegar
    6 Tbsp. salt
    4 1/2 c. light brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. each: cinnamon, cloves and allspice
Preparation
    Mix tomatoes, onions, peppers, vinegar and salt in large kettle.
    Add spices and brown sugar.
    Cook down until thick.
    Put in jars and seal.
    Makes 16 pints.
