Kraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. can sauerkraut, shredded or chopped
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. celery, sliced thin
    1/2 c. bell pepper (thin strips)
    1/2 c. carrot, shredded
    1/4 c. onion, sliced thin
Preparation
    Drain kraut.
    Stir in sugar and let set 1/2 hour.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover bowl tightly.
    Chill at least 24 hours.
    Chopped pimento adds color if you wish.
