Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. sliced cucumbers
    2 to 3 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. sliced onion
    1 c. sliced green pepper
    1 c. white vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. dill seed
Preparation
    Scrub cukes. Do not peel. In 5-quart bowl, sprinkle salt over cukes, onion and pepper. Stir gently. Let stand with foil on, 1 to 3 hours or overnight. If overnight, place in refrigerator. Drain off liquid. Combine vinegar, sugar and seeds. Pour over cuke/onion/pepper. Stir and cover. Let stand 36 hours in refrigerator. Store, covered, in refrigerator. Makes 1 1/2 quarts or 6 cups.
