Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. cold water
1/2 c. lemon juice (fresh lemons)
5 eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Combine first three ingredients in a large heavy saucepan and mix well. Gradually add water and lemon juice, stirring until mixture is smooth.
