Onion Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk, scalded
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. butter, divided
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    3 1/2 c. flour
    2 medium onions, thinly sliced
    1 egg yolk
    1/4 c. sour cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    poppy seed
Preparation
    Add sugar, salt and 4 tablespoons butter to scalded milk and let cool to lukewarm.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Stir milk mixture into yeast and water.
    Add 2 1/2 cups flour and beat on medium speed until smooth.
    Stir in remaining flour.
    Cover with a damp cloth and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
    Turn onto a well floured surface and knead 10 times.
    Divide into 12 pieces.
    Roll each piece into a ball and place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Flatten to a 3-inch diameter.
    Saute onion in remaining 2 tablespoons butter.
    Remove from heat and stir in egg, sour cream and salt.
    Spread on each roll and sprinkle with poppy seed.
    Let rise, uncovered, until doubled, about 45 minutes.
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0 and bake 20 to 25 minutes.
