Aunt Georgia'S Zesty Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 qt. water
1 bell pepper
1 large onion, diced
2 Tbsp. dry mustard
2 c. vinegar
3 celery stalks, cut finely
3 cloves garlic
1 lemon, quartered
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 cans tomato paste
2 bottles Kraft barbecue sauce (medium size)
2 Tbsp. liquid smoke
Preparation

Boil all vegetables in the water until tender.
Add the tomato paste, barbecue sauce and liquid smoke.
Simmer slowly for about 30 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Cool.
Store in refrigerator in jar until ready for use.
(Oh yes!
The sauce must be strained before storing!)
Try it on beef ribs, chicken or pork ribs.
