Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 stick butter
    1 cup cracker crumbs
    2 medium yellow squash
    1/2 lb. sharp cheese, grated
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter; add crumbs.
    In 2-quart casserole dish, layer thinly sliced squash, cheese and crumb mixture, ending with crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes.
