Johnnycake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. margarine
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. milk
1 c. cornmeal
2 c. flour
Preparation

Mix margarine and sugar until fluffy.
Add the eggs and mix well.
Mix cornmeal, flour and baking powder well.
Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk until all is well blended. Pour into a well-greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until tests done in the middle.
This is moist and tasty and better than most cornmeal breads.
