Boiled Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. flour
    bit of salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    variety of spices
    1 c. broken walnut pieces
    egg (optional)
Preparation
    Boil water, raisins, sugar and butter 5 minutes.
    Let stand until cool.
    Add 1 heaping teaspoon soda, dissolved in 1 teaspoon of hot water.
    Add 1 teaspoon all kinds of spices.
    Use more cinnamon than other spices.
    Add walnuts.
    Combine dry ingredients with boiled mixture.
    Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0, depending on depth of pan.
    This will make 2 small loaf pans or 4 mini pans.
