Overnight Fresh Crunchy Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium size cucumbers
1 Spanish onion
1 1/2 c. white vinegar
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
1 Tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cut cucumbers in eighths lengthwise.
Slice onion and separate into rings.
Put both in large glass or ceramic bowl.
Combine other ingredients in a glass or enamel pan.
Heat and stir until sugar dissolves (use wooden spoon).
Pour over cucumbers and onions.
Toss and coat.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours, tossing occasionally.
