Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. lemon extract
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    In mixer bowl, cream together sugar, shortening and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Stir in vanilla and lemon extract.
    Mix together flour and baking soda.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition.
    Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes.
    Remove and cool on rack.
