Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. sifted flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, well beaten
3/4 c. pecans or other nuts
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. shredded coconut
Preparation

Mix first four ingredients well and put into 9 x 12-inch ungreased pan.
Bake 15 minutes or until slightly browned in moderate oven.
Blend the remaining ingredients and spread over first layer.
Bake in moderate oven 15 to 20 minutes.
Cut while hot.
