Cherry Cola Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can Bing cherries
    1 (1 lb.) can crushed pineapple
    1 large (6 oz.) pkg. cherry or black cherry jello
    1 small (12 oz.) bottle Coke
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Drain cherries and pineapple.
    Measure syrup and add water if necessary to make 2 cups.
    Heat syrup to boiling.
    Pour over jello, stir until dissolved.
    Add Coke.
    Chill to consistency of unbeaten egg whites.
    Combine cherries, pineapple and nuts.
    Fold in and chill until firm.
