Crispy "Sweet" Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. cider vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. mustard seed
    3 Tbsp. salt
    4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    4 1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Cukes to be cut long ways in spears.
    Pour boiling water over; stand overnight.
    Boil syrup 5 minutes.
    Pour over cukes in jars. Process in boiling water canner for 5 minutes.
    This fills approximately 6 pints.
    If you want sweeter, double the sugar.
