Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. round steak, cut up
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 c. hot water
1 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1 beef bouillon cube
2 Tbsp. fat
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1/2 chopped green pepper
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation

Brown meat slowly in hot fat 15 minutes.
Add onions and garlic.
Season with salt and pepper.
Dissolve cube in boiling water.
Add to meat.
Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
Add tomatoes and green pepper and cook 10 minutes longer.
Combine cornstarch in 1/4 cup water.
Add soy sauce.
Stir into mixture and simmer 30 minutes on low heat.
Stir occasionally to keep from sticking. Serve over rice.
