Baked Stew(Serves 8) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef or chuck, cut into pieces
    2 c. onions, diced
    2 c. white potatoes, quartered
    2 c. fresh carrots, cut in chunks
    2 c. celery, cut large
    1 can sliced mushrooms
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    5 Tbsp. tapioca
    1 tsp. sugar
    3 c. V-8 juice
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in order given in roaster with tight fitting lid.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 5 hours.
    No browning necessary. When done, the gravy will be thick and brown.
