Chicken Italiano - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    1 large Vidalia onion, sliced in half rings
    14 oz. fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
    2 (14 oz.) cans Italian style stewed tomatoes
    1/2 to 3/4 c. Zesty Italian dressing
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Simmer onions in a small amount of water until soft.
    Add chicken pieces and dressing.
    Cook over medium high heat until brown.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Browning should take about 10 minutes.
    Add mushrooms and stewed tomatoes.
    Turn heat down to medium.
    Simmer until juice boils down and sauce forms a rich coating over all ingredients.
    Serve over white rice or with a side of baked potato.
