Purple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1 can sweet pineapple tidbits
    1 c. nuts
    1 carton Cool Whip (12 oz.)
    1 can dark ripe sweet pitted cherries
Preparation
    Let cream cheese soften at room temperature.
    Combine thoroughly with sugar.
    Drain pineapple and cherries well, then add to cheese and sugar mixture.
    Add chopped nuts and Cool Whip. Chill in refrigerator.
