1 1/2 c. cornmeal
salt and seasonings to taste
1 c. hot boiling water
bacon drippings
Preparation

Mix cornmeal, salt and seasonings to taste.
Add 1 cup hot boiling water (to the consistency of a little thinner than lumpy oatmeal).
Heat bacon drippings in cast-iron skillet.
Drop batter by spoonfuls (like pancakes) and flip when edges are brown.
