Senator Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. tarragon vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 can French-style green beans
    1 can petite English peas
    1 can diced pimento (4 oz.)
    1 stalk celery, sliced
    1/2 c. green pepper, diced
    1 medium onion, sliced
Preparation
    Drain beans, peas and pimentos.
    Combine with celery, green pepper and onion.
    Heat first four ingredients.
    Let cool.
    Pour all together and store in refrigerator.
    Will keep several weeks.
