Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. grated cheese
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 or 3 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
    1 small can corn (cream-style)
    1/2 c. cooking oil*
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Mix ingredients together.
    Bake in a greased pan or Pyrex for 30 minutes at 400\u00b0.
