Apricot-Chocolate Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
6 Tbsp. flour
2 c. finely grated walnuts
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. dried apricots, finely chopped
1 c. walnuts, chopped
2/3 c. apricot jam
Frosting (recipe follows)
dried apricot halves and walnuts for garnish (optional)
Preparation

With an electric mixer, beat eggs with sugar at high speed for 2 minutes.
Reduce speed to low and beat in vanilla, flour, grated walnuts, cocoa and baking powder just until blended.
Fold in chopped apricots and walnuts.
