Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
4 c. flour, unsifted
1/2 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together.
Work enough flour into a lump of dough to be able to roll out with a rolling pin.
Cut into any desired shape.
Bake on a greased cookie sheet in a 400\u00b0 oven for 6 to 7 minutes.
