Dill Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. apple cider vinegar
1 c. pickling salt
3 qt. water
2 to 3 Tbsp. pickling spice
2 Tbsp. dill seed
cucumbers, sliced
Preparation

Bring all ingredients to a boil for 15 minutes.
Pack cucumbers in jars.
Add the following to each jar:
1 dill leaf, 1 dill head, 3 cloves garlic, 1 teaspoon dill seed, 1 pod hot pepper and 1/4 teaspoon alum.
Then pour hot mixture over cucumbers.
Seal and turn jars upside-down overnight.
