Texas Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large (2 lb.) bag or 3 small cartons frozen shredded hash browned potatoes, thawed
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    1 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 carton sour cream
    2 c. corn flakes, crushed
    1/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly all ingredients but the last 2.
    Place in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish; top with crushed corn flakes and dot with butter.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Serves 8 to 10.
