Sausage Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. long grain rice
    2 lb. smoked sausage, sliced thin
    Louisiana hot sauce to taste
    salt to taste
    oil (to saute onion)
    2 c. water
    water
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    3 c. chopped onion
    2 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Saute onion and bell pepper in oil; add garlic, parsley, tomato sauce and 2 cups water, then add rice.
    Add smoked sausage and enough water to cover about 1-inch ingredients.
    Cook on medium heat until most of juice is gone, then cover and simmer on low for 1 hour.
