Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cabbage
    1 medium onion
    1 green pepper
    2/3 c. granulated sugar
    2/3 c. oil
    1 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 or 2 carrots
    celery seed
Preparation
    This slaw to be made hot.
    Heat sugar, oil, vinegar and salt. Sprinkle the cut up or shredded vegetables into the celery seed. Pour over cut up vegetables the heated sugar, oil, vinegar and salt while still warm.
    Let stand until cool, then stir, refrigerate until ready to serve.
    This keeps for several days, and is better the second day.
