Syl'S Catsup Salad Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sliced white onion
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/4 c. catsup
    1 c. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Put lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, salt, pepper, onion, celery seed, turmeric and garlic in pan.
    Bring to a boil. Turn down and simmer 2 minutes.
    Cool and add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and refrigerate.
    Serve on a crisp salad.
    It is too heavy a sauce for Boston lettuce.
    Good on thinly sliced cabbage with red and green peppers also thinly sliced.
