Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. cucumbers, sliced thin and unpeeled
    6 medium white onions, sliced
    3 cloves garlic
    1 green pepper, cut into strips
    1 red pepper (sweet), cut into strips
    1/3 c. salt
    cracked ice
    3 c. vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Heat to boiling, stirring until well mixed.
    Pack into jars (pint) and cold pack at least 5 minutes.
    Makes 8 pints or so.
