Chocolate Cherry Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can cherry pie filling
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. oil
1/4 c. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Cool Whip
chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Spread pie filling over bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pan. In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt. In another bowl, combine water, oil, vinegar and vanilla.
Add liquid ingredients to flour mixture all at once.
Stir well to moisten.
Pour batter over cherry pie filling.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
Cool 10 minutes, then invert and cool completely.
Top with whipped cream.
Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
