Beer Batter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising flour
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    12 oz. beer
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar and beer in bowl.
    Stir to blend.
    Turn into 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
    Melt butter and pour half over dough. Continue to bake another 40 minutes.
    Serve warm with butter or cool and slice, then toast slices and serve with butter.
    Makes 1 loaf.
