Red Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head red cabbage
1/2 c. margarine
2 apples, diced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground pepper
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. beer
Preparation

Shred cabbage.
Add to melted margarine in large heavy saucepan.
Toss lightly to coat cabbage.
Add peeled and diced apples, salt, pepper, vinegar, sugar and beer.
Cover and simmer gently, stirring as needed.
Cook until tender, about 30 minutes. Serves 8 to 10.
