Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 (16 oz.) can beets, drained
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Combine sugar, vinegar and cornstarch.
Boil 5 minutes.
Pour over prepared beets in saucepan; add butter and let stand 30 minutes.
If necessary, warm before serving.
