Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast (or 2 1/4 Tbsp.)
    3 Tbsp. warm water
    5 c. flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. shortening
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cut in shortening.
    Stir in yeast mixture and buttermilk.
    Roll out onto a floured board and cut into biscuits.
    Allow to rise 1 to 2 hours before baking.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Dough keeps well in refrigerator.
