Ingredients

6 apples (York or Black Beauty)
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. Karo syrup
1-inch cinnamon stick
1 tsp. red food coloring
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Put sugar, syrup and water on to boil.
Add cinnamon and coloring.
When syrup starts to boil, add apples.
Cook until apples shine or the syrup is almost jelly.
