Jam Cake And Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    4 or 5 c. flour
    6 whole eggs or 10 egg yolks
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 c. blackberry jam
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. figs
    1 c. preserves
Preparation
    Put baking soda in milk and stir.
    Sift other dry ingredients and mix with buttermilk, jam, preserves and eggs.
    Bake in three 8-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Make filling and put between layers of cake and ice with a caramel frosting.
