Ingredients

2 sticks butter or margarine
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. orange extract
3 c. all-purpose flour (plain)
1 c. milk
1 can flaked coconut
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add flavorings and mix well.
Alternately add flour and milk, beating after each addition.
Stir in coconut.
Spoon batter into the 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes, approximately, or until toothpick comes out clean.
Frost while warm (not hot) with the following frosting.
