All The Year Round Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. powdered sugar
    2 Tbsp. boiling water
    2 eggs
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. cold water
    vanilla
Preparation
    Cream the butter, sugar and the powdered sugar.
    Beat in the boiling water.
    Add the eggs.
    Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to mixture alternately with the cold water; beat well.
    Add vanilla.
    May be baked as a layer or loaf cake.
