Red Beet Eggs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 eggs, hard-boiled
    2 cans beets
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 to 1 c. vinegar
    sliced onion
Preparation
    Combine sugar and vinegar until sugar dissolves.
    Add beets with juice, sliced onion and peeled eggs.
    Add water to cover eggs.
    Refrigerate.
    Prepare at least 24 hours before serving for best flavor.
