Lemon Crumb Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 - 15 oz. can Sweetened Condensed milk
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 3/4 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup butter
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 cup uncooked oatmeal
Preparation

Blend together, milk, juice and lemon peel. Set aside. Sift together, flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter. Blend in sugar. Add oatmeal and flour mixture. Mix until crumbly. Spread half the mixture in an 8 x 12 x 2 inch buttered baking pan. Pat down. Spread condensed milk mixture over top. Cover with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown around edges, about 25 minutes. Cool in pan at room temperature for 15 minutes. Cut into 1 3/4 inch squares. Chill in pan until firm. Yield, 2 dozen.
