German Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 thick slices bacon, diced
    1/2 yellow onion, sliced
    1 small head red cabbage
    2 small tart apples, sliced thin
    1/2 C chicken broth
    2 Tbsp red wine
    2 Tbsp cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp brown sugar
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp pepper
Preparation
    In a pan over medium heat, saute bacon until translucent. Add onion, sliced cabbage and apples.
    Saute, uncovered, until cabbage begins to collapse.
