Eight Day Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. vinegar
    10-cent white mace
    10-cent mustard seed
    10-cent whole allspice
    10-cent saccharin
    10-cent alum
    1 c. salt
    horseradish to taste
Preparation
    Put ingredients in stone crock.
    Add cucumbers (washed) as gathered from garden time to time.
    Keeps indefinitely in brine. Can be used when cured 8 days.
