Strawberry Shortcut Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. miniature marshmallows
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
Preparation

Grease bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.
Sprinkle marshmallows evenly to cover bottom of pan.
Combine thawed strawberries and Jell-O; set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients and beat 3 minutes.
Pour batter over marshmallows.
Spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
Serve warm with whipped topping.
