Pickled Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    firm cling peaches
    1 pt. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1 stick cinnamon
    1 tsp. whole cloves
Preparation
    Peel peaches using as many as syrup will cover.
    Make syrup by mixing vinegar, sugar, cinnamon and cloves, boiling until rather thick.
    Add peeled peaches, one at a time.
    Cook until tender, not mushy.
    Remove fruit from syrup and place in sterilized jars.
    Boil syrup until thick; pour over peaches filling jars to top seal.
