Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. butter flavoring
    2 oz. red food coloring
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening, eggs and flavoring.
    Make paste of cocoa and coloring and add.
    Alternately add flour and buttermilk. Mix soda and vinegar and add to batter.
    Blend.
    Bake in a 9 or 10-inch pan for 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool.
